Day two of not eating anything and just nursing myself back with water. Today I figured I would try a smoothie. Figured it would be the easiest on my system. I found this flu fighting smoothie from Back to Organics. It is pretty yummy!!!
Kale, Orange, Banana, Peanut Butter Smoothie
Banana, Strawberry, Orange, Cucumber, Celery, Chia Seed Smoothie
Apple Pie Smoothy from Young and Raw
Greens, Kiwi, strawberry, Banana, Mint, Cucumber Smoothie
Greens, Pear, Lime, Pineapple, Banana Smoothie!
Ok, so many people keep asking me about smoothies and juices. So I will start posting my daily smoothie or juice each day! Well I will do my best to post each day. A good challenge for me.
• 2 handfuls of Greens. I used A blend of Power Greens (Chard, Kale & Spinach)
• 1-2 cups fresh or frozen Pineapple
• 1 Pear, stem removed
• 1 Lime peeled
• 1 frozen Banana
• 11/12 oz of Organic Coconut Water or Water
This made 3 pint (16 oz) jars! I drink one now and the other 2 throughout the day. Enjoy!
Orange Julius Copycat
It’s late and I’m kinda bored. Then for some odd reason I wanted an Orange Julius! It has been years since I had one. So I peeled 4/5 small organic oranges and one banana. I put everything in my Vitamix and blended. These oranges are very sweet so I didn’t add any sweetener. At the end I added a handful of ice cubes.
Wow! It was amazing, smooth and creamy! It hit the spot! I looked online and all the recipes call for sugar, milk and vanilla. I liked it with just 2 ingredients. So much lighter than other recipes.
Grape Tip!
Young Coconut Kale Smoothie
SO EASY AND SO YUMMY!
•  One Young Thai Coconut (Meat and Water)
•  Half an apple
•  One Banana
• Handfull of Kale
Blend everything in a high-powered blender and enjoy! How thick your smoothie is depends on how much water and meat your coconut has.
