30 Day Juice Challenge for Free!

30-Day Juice Challenge

Thank you Tracee Sloan

I’ve really really really been wanting to juice more for my health. I stumbled across Tracee Sloan’s website JuiceRecipes.com. I’ve been juicing for a long time but have not mastered making it a habit! She offered a free 30 Day Juice Challenge. I accepted! I will most likely use some of the juices she has in the challenge and add my own. She has so many to choose from. I love that she has a tab for Health & Ingredients! If you are making your own as you go and would like to know the nutrients this is great, Juice Recipe Builder!

Day 1: May 8th, 2014

FreshStart

This juice recipe is great to start with for those who are trying to ease themselves into this whole juicing thing and they’re not quite ready to drink those deep colored lookin’ juices. If you need it even sweeter, just add another apple to it.

Don’t think that just because it’s said to be a “beginner juice” means it’s not as good for you, this juice is great for you!

Ingredients:

  • Apples – 2 medium (3″ dia)
  • Carrots – 3 medium
  • Celery – 4 stalk, large (11″-12″ long)

Directions:
Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.

Opinion:
You can’t ever go wrong with apples and carrots. I really enjoyed the smooth sweet taste. A great beginner juice!

Day 2: May 9th, 2014

DrOzGreenDrink

Here’s the hard to find recipe! Dr. Oz says he drinks this every morning, and so does Oprah. After Oprah tried this on the show, she was surprised how good it tasted, calling it a “glass of fresh!”

If you’re here and you’re new to juicing, you may find that this tastes a bit “earthy” because your taste buds may not be used to this whole thing. If that’s the case, just add an extra apple or two to sweeten it up.

You can blend this recipe too, but I imagine you’ll want to peel the lemon, lime, and ginger.

Ingredients:

  • Apples – 2 medium (3″ dia)
  • Celery – 3 stalk, large (11″-12″ long)
  • Cucumber – 1 cucumber (8-1/4″)
  • Ginger Root – 1/2 thumb (1″ dia)
  • Lemon (with rind) – 1/2 fruit (2-3/8″ dia)
  • Lime (with rind) – 1 fruit (2″ dia)
  • Parsley – 1 bunch
  • Spinach – 2 cup

Directions:
Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.

Opinion:
This drink may not be a great beginner drink or if you only enjoy sweet juices. This is very tart but I actually loved it!

Day 14 : May 21st, 2014

BeginnerGreen

This is for beginners that are looking for a green juice that tastes great. It’s sweet while having a nice citrus flavor to it.

If you have a masticating juicer, this will come out just like in the picture. If you have a centrifuge juicer, you may not be able to get much juice out of the spinach. You can still try it, but don’t be surprised if it shoots all of the spinach in the bin and a few drops come out. You can always juice everything except the spinach, then finish it in a blender with the spinach.

Ingredients:

  • Apples – 3 medium (3″ dia)
  • Celery – 4 stalks, large (11″-12″ long)
  • Ginger Root – 1/4 thumb (1″ dia)
  • Lemon (with rind) – 1/2 fruit (2-1/8″ dia)
  • Orange (peeled) – 1 large (3-1/6″ dia)
  • Spinach – 5 handfuls

Directions:
You don’t have to peel the lemon, but make sure you peel the orange. The orange’s skin is very bitter and can ruin the flavor.

Opinion:
Thumbs up! I agree with Tracee, it’s sweet while having a nice citrus flavor to it.
