NEW BATCH!
I am having so much fun growing microgreens. It is now time to start another batch. I am going to use the same seeds but grow them just a little differently and see how it goes.
I sprinkled on the seeds into each container. This time making sure to make a nice even blanket of seeds on top of the soil.
Left to Right:
Alfalfa, Amaranth, Broccoli, Clover, Spicy Mix, Sesame Seeds
This time I sprinkledĀ a very thin layer of soil on top of the seeds & lightly compacted it.
For watering I like to use a container with a point, like this one. It helps to direct the water in exactly the place you want it to go.
Some of the seeds moved to the top but thats ok. I just want to see if the soil on top helps keep the seeds moist longer maybe resulting in earlier germination.
Positioned them on the rack and ready to give them some darkness.
There really is not a lid that will fit over the small containers so I placed another black tray upside down over the seeds and placed a few transparent lids on top for weight.
