Cold w/ Major Sinus Pressure – RELIEF!!

Sunday, my left nostril started to plug on me along with my left ear draining. By Monday everything was plugged, & the sinus pressure just kept building. No matter how many times I blew my nose it wouldn’t relieve it. On my way home from work Monday night the pressure was so bad it was hard to concentrate on driving. Tuesday I woke up and said there is no way I’m going to make it through another 12hr grave yard shift. I called in sick & decided to rest & do some research for relief. SO HAPPY I STAYED HOME!!

Mucus – Cleansing Diet: 

This diet is extremely useful in cases of severe mucus congestion with sinus congestion or excess chest involvement. This diet is basically useful for all conditions of excess mucus such as asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, colds, pneumonia, salpingitis, ear infections, and many others. I didn’t always keep in this same order but made sure to only eat what is listed. I kept to this Tuesday & will continue today.

I couldn’t believe by the end of the Tuesday all my sinus pressure was gone and I was barely blowing my nose!! 

BREAKFAST:
Citrus Fruit (especially grapefruit)

MIDMORNING:
(or when thirsty)
Fresh Carrot Juice or Citrus Juice

LUNCH:
A large plate of steamed onions with a little natural tamari or braggs for flavor.

MID-AFTERNOON:
Potassium Broth, or as midmorning

SUPPER:
Same as lunch

EVENING:
Same as mid-afternoon.

Honey/Onion Syrup:

Thinly slice a large onion (I minced), place in a bowl, & cover with 1-2 tbsp honey. Cover container tightly & allow to sit for 8 hours. Mash, strain, and take in 1 tsp doses 4-8 times daily.

Potassium Broth:

Take 1/4 inch of outer peelings of potatoes (including the skin), fresh parsley, unpeeled carrots, beet greens, onion, garlic, and any other organically grown green vegetables on hand. Prepare broth by washing and chopping the vegetables and then simmering in a large covered pot of water for 30-40 minutes. Strain and drink the essence, discard the vegetables. Excess may be stored in glass containers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
